Purpose:

The seminar will cover the main aspects of IFRS 15. After explaining the scope of the Standard, we will go through the 5 step model introduced by the Standard in recognizing revenue, explaining, using practical examples, the various complications that might exist in each step with emphasis on determining the transaction price (when there is a significant financing component) and the allocation of the transaction price to the various performance obligations.

The seminar will also cover the treatment of the costs incurred by the company in obtaining a contract.  Finally, we will look at the different recognition of revenue in the case we have a Principle as opposed to the case we have an Agent.

The seminar is addressed to all accountants involved in the preparation, audit, and analysis of Financial Statements.
