OVERVIEW OF WEBINARS
The European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) entered into effect on 1 January 2024 for the first companies in the scope of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). The 12 ESRS guide the preparation of the sustainability statement, which is part of the management report. The sustainability statement is subject to assurance, starting first with limited assurance and gradually moving to reasonable assurance.
During the webinars, the videos of the respective standards will be played, followed by a Q&A Session with the field Expert Ms. Jona Basha| Head of Reporting | Accountancy Europe. Following the completion of each webinar, attendees will be provided with exclusive learning materials, including:
- Supporting slides that summarise each ESRS standard.
- A workbook to help navigate and learn each standard, with tips, notes and questions.
- Extracts from the separate standards (ESRS) for easier reading.

This webinar will introduce the cross-cutting European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS):
• ESRS 1 General requirements, and
• ESRS 2 General disclosures
ESRS 1 provides the overarching principles that underpin all standards and the sustainability report. ESRS 2, the only mandatory standard, provides disclosure general requirements on the following the basis of preparation and the four disclosure pillars (governance; strategy; impact, risk and opportunity management; metrics and targets).
