ESG Intro - High-level overview of EU Regulatory Requirements

Purpose:

This session will introduce the evolving Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Agenda in the business sector and how it relates to a strategic business transformation. It will discuss the evolution of International and EU regulations that drive the transformation and focus more on the EU Green Deal and the subsequent regulations. It will briefly cover the utilization of the financial sector as a facilitator of the Green Transition by the EU and then go over the European Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) topline, the evolution in the EU regulatory framework for sustainability reporting that is expected to affect 50,000 companies in the EU and internationally.
