Odysseas Christodoulou

Odysseas Christodoulou currently serves as Vice President of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC), having been an active member of the Council for several years. Additionally, he represented Cyprus members for six years as an elected member of the International Assembly of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

With over 30 years of experience in professional and academic education, Odysseas is currently the Chief Executive Officer of edBOS, the training arm of eBOS, a technology-driven education platform. He also serves as a Board Member of KEO Plc.

He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (FCIB), and a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) with the Institute of Management Accountants. He also holds an MBA in Accounting and Finance.

He has held board-level roles in the financial sector, including serving as a Non-Executive Director of Ancoria Bank and Laiki Financial Services

He was the CEO and co-founder of Globaltraining. He also served as Chief Operations Officer and Board Member of EDEX – Educational Excellence Corporation, and as a Council Member of the University of Nicosia.

Odysseas began his career as an auditor with Coopers & Lybrand and went on to work in the banking sector with Lombard NatWest Bank and Cyprus Popular Bank.

Andreas Andreou is a Partner and Member of the Executive Committee of Deloitte Ltd.
He joined Deloitte in 1997 and he is in charge of the audit of a large number of public and private companies in various areas of operation with specialization in the insurance and financial services industry.
Andreas Andreou is in charge of the IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) technical team of Deloitte Cyprus and a facilitator in various technical trainings/seminars.

He is a member of the Council of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC) since July 2015, having served as a member of the Accounting Standards Committee of ICPAC for the years 2010-2014 and Vice-chairman of the same committee for the year 2014-2015.
He holds a BA (Hons) in Business Administration (Accounting) from University of Cyprus and he is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW) since 2001.
Andreas is married with 3 children.

George Hadjineophytou

George Hadjineophytou is a Fellow Chartered Accountant, member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC).  He is also a member of the Institute of Directors, Cyprus Branch and has served on the Board of a number of private and public companies in Cyprus and overseas.  George has served on a number of the committees of ICPAC for over 15 years, chairing the Corporate Governance, Risk Management and Internal Audit Committee and the CFO Committee of ICPAC.  He is an active Mentor of the ICPAC mentoring program since 2019.  He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) from UMIST in the UK in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

He started his career with Arthur Andersen in Manchester, UK, in 1994 and spent 8 years in the profession.  He moved to industry in 2003, where he has served in various CFO, Group CFO and GM positions in local and international companies.  He is currently a Director and Group COO of GlobalDots, in charge of the operations of an international group of companies in the IT industry.

He is married and has two children.

I am the Head of Audit and Assurance Service Line of C.A Tsialoupis Ltd from 2019. I have started by career in 2000 when I joined Ernst & Young Cyprus Ltd. I worked for 19 years in the audit and assurance department of Ernst & Young and gained extensive audit experience in both private and public interest companies.  I served as an assurance facilitator/trainer in regional EY academy events for several years. I am a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) since 2008. I am a member of ICPAC since 2005 and have actively participated in ICPAC’s committees ever since. 

Nicholas Shiakallis is the Managing Director of the audit firm Computantis Services Limited. He was a member of the Board of the Cyprus Stock Exchange (2014-2017).

 

He holds a BA Hons in Economics & Social Studies from the University of Manchester and he is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accounts in Cyprus (ICPAC).

 

HE was the President of the Information Technology & Services Committee as well as a member of the Small & Medium Firms Committee. 

Afxentis Zemenides is the Managing Director of the Limassol based boutique audit firm A ZEMENIDES & CO. which provides its services to both local and international clients.

He has worked for KPMG, Limassol Cooperative Savings Bank and Cyprus Cooperative Bank (CCB). He held major managerial positions in CCB, including that of Regional Manager for Restructurings (Limassol and Paphos) and Limassol Regional Manager for Retail Banking.

Afxentis is a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and a Member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC). He has an MBA from the University of Kent, UK.

He has been/he is a member of the Board of various private and public organizations, including the Cyprus University of Technology (TEΠΑΚ), Ancoria Insurance and Panos Foundation.

-          He holds over 30 years of experience in advisory services particularly in financial due diligence in connection with acquisitions and fundraising, flotations and public company transactions.  He has led significant projects relating to the banking industry in Cyprus and acts as relationship partner and quality reviewer on complex advisory engagements.

-          He is a mentor and coach supporting individuals from both within and outside Grant Thornton Cyprus to develop and thrive as professionals and in any other area they are passionate about.

His approach to leadership and what he considers to be a core part of the firm’s strategy stems from his personal view that in order to achieve growth in any organization people have to come first.

Eliza is the Executive Director Finance since October 2019 and since October 2021 she has been an Executive Member of the Bank of Cyprus Board of Directors. She is responsible for Finance, Treasury, Strategy and Corporate Finance, Investor Relations, ESG, Real Estate Management, Restructuring & Recoveries, Regulatory Affairs, Procurement and Economic Research. She began her career in 1995 with the audit firm Arthur Andersen in Cambridge, UK, where she qualified as a Chartered Accountant. In 1999 she joined Bank of Cyprus, as Assistant to the Group Chief General Manager. In 2005 she moved to the Finance Division. In December 2013, Eliza was appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and from 2016 to late 2021 she was responsible for the Finance and Treasury Divisions. In October 2021, she was appointed Executive Member of the Board of Directors. Eliza studied Economics at the University of Cambridge (MA Hons). She is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Bank of Cyprus Oncology Centre, a NonIndependent and Non-Executive member of the Board of Directors of CISCO, and a member of the banking committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales

Nicos is a Partner and member of the Board of Directors at PricewaterhouseCoopers Cyprus (PwC).

He has 25 years of practical experience in the Assurance Services department of PwC Cyprus, specialising in the provision of audit and broader assurance services to public interest entities in the financial services sector (heading the insurance services industry), as well as to other private entities operating in both local and international jurisdictions. Nicos is the Assurance Risk & Quality Partner of PwC.

He has been a member of the technical committees of ICPAC for a number of years and in particular of the Auditing Standards Committee, serving both as Chairman and member, as well as of the Accounting Standards Committee, serving as Vice-Chairman and member, across several terms. He is also a member of the Technical Advisory Group.

He holds a BSs Economics from The London School of Economics & Political Science (LSE) and a postgraduate degree, MPhil Finance from the University of Cambridge. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC).

Mr. Spyros Spyrou is Financial Services Director at Human Resource Development Authority of Cyprus (HRDA) since June 2002. Previously he held the position of Accountant 1st Grade of the Organisation since August 1996. During the period July 1991 – July 1996, he worked in the company BP Cyprus Ltd as Accounting Officer and Supplies/Aviation/ Finance Controller.

He holds a degree in BA (Hons) Accounting and Management Science (University of Kent) and Master of Business Administration (University of Warwick). He is a Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants of UK (ACCA) since July 1995 and Member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC) since February 1998.

He is a Board Member of the ICPAC since July 2015. He was also Member of the Public Sector Committee of ICPAC for the period September 2012 – September 2014 and Chairman of the Committee during the period October 2014 – July 2015.

Marios Ph. Demetriades

He is an Executive Director and Group Chief Financial Officer at Mitsides Public Company Ltd

He is a Fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a Fellow Chartered Accountant, member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). He is also a member of the Institute of the Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus. He holds a Marketing Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK), of which he is also a member. He holds postgraduate diplomas in Business Management and Strategic Planning, as well as an M.Sc. in Strategic Marketing Management.

He started his career in 1991 at the audit firm Deloitte, Haskins & Sells and later joined Coopers & Lybrand (1993 -1996). During the period 1996 - 1999 he served as Chief Accountant at Model Famagusta Bakeries Ltd (a former member of the Mitsides Group). Since 2000 he holds the position of the Group Chief Financial Officer. He is also a Member and Secretary of the Board of Directors, while he has been appointed Compliance Officer with the Corporate Governance Code, and Shareholders’ Relations Officer. He previously headed the Group's Human Resources department from 2000 until 2021.

He also sits on the Board of Directors of Mitsides Group subsidiary companies.

He is married and has two children.

Constantinos is a Board Member and member of the Executive Committee of KPMG Cyprus.

He joined KPMG in 1998 and he is the partner in charge of the audit of public and private companies with specialization in the financial services sector (banking and insurance companies). He is also the Head of Quality and Risk Management Department of KPMG.

He holds a BSc in Business Finance & Economics from the University of East Anglia and he is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC). He served as a chairman and member of the Financial Services Committee of ICPAC.

Constantinos is married and father of 3 children.

Savvas holds the position of the Regional Managing Partner of Baker Tilly South East Europe.

Savvas is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). He holds a BSc in Accounting and Business Management from the University of Westminster, London UK.

He is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC) and served as a member of the Institutes Tax Compliance Committee (2019-2024) and of the International Operations and Foreign Investments Committee between 2016-2019.

He is also a member of the European Regional Advisory Council of Baker Tilly International, responsible for South East and Eurasia region.
