On 15 November 2017 the Institute’s Disciplinary Committee found proved the following allegation against Mr Vasilis Georgiades, membership no. 347:
The defendant during the year 2015 up until August 2016 and although he had not renewed the audit practising certificate issued by the Institute, he continued to practise the auditing profession, including the audit of a public interest entity for which he had submitted the audited financial statements to the Cyprus Stock Exchange in April 2015, without possessing the required license, in contravention of the relevant Law and Regulations.
The Disciplinary Committee ordered that Mr Georgiades be fined with €1.000 and pay costs amounting to €2.000.
