Complaint against KPMG Ltd

On 15 November 2017 the Institute’s Disciplinary Committee found proved the following allegation against KPMG Ltd:

 

The defendants in or around 2015 proceeded with the audit of the financial statements of the Provident Fund of an Insurance Company, without prior communication with the existing accountant who was the auditor of the Provident Fund during the previous year, and without adhering to the requisite subsequent procedure for taking up work, in breach of their professional ethical obligations.

 

The Disciplinary Committee ordered that KPMG Ltd be fined with €200 and pay costs amounting to €1.060.
