Purpose:

This webinar aims to refresh the knowledge of participants on IFRS 16. Starting with an overview of the changes that IFRS 16 introduced in accounting for Leases. Then it looks at the criteria needed to be present in order to conclude that an agreement contains a lease. We will explain, using examples, the accounting treatment of leases from both the Lessee and Lessor point of view. We will conclude the webinar with the explanation and accounting treatment of Sale and Leaseback arrangements.
