EU de-lists Volozh & Mndoiants & Slovakian leader of motorcycle club & amends Russia listings
The EU has de-listed (regulation, decision):
- Arkady Volozh, the founder of Yandex, a large internet company; in February 2024, Yandex announced that it had entered into a definitive agreement with a purchaser consortium to sell its businesses in Russia;
- Serguey Mndoiants, who was listed for being the vice-president in charge of government relations for AFK Sistema and vice-president of VLM Invest, a consulting firm acting as an intermediary between private companies and the Russian government; and
- Jozef Hambálek, a Slovakian national who was listed for being the president of the European chapter of the Night Wolves motorcycle club, and allegedly trained members for active combat in Ukraine.
- 9 Russian politicians and military officials who have died.
The EU has amended (regulation, decision) the listings for 97 individuals and 9 entities on the Russia list.
