Nicos is a partner in PwC Cyprus. He is a member of the Management Board and Tax & Legal Leader.

He  has over 25 years of experience in advising large MNCs on international tax matters.

Nicos is the President of the Council of Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus.  He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Computer Science from Queen Mary College, University of London.

Odysseas is the Vice President of the Institute of Certified Public Accountant of Cyprus (ICPAC) having served in the Council for a number of years. He is a Fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and holds an MBA in Accounting and Finance from Maastricht School of Management. He is a Fellow member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (FCIB) and a member of the Institute of Management Accountants (CMA).

Odysseas is the CEO of Globaltraining and the Chief Operations Officer of EDEX – Educational Excellence Corporation. He is also a Board member of EDEX operating the University of Nicosia, Globaltraining, Intercollege and UNICAF. His areas of expertise include cost and management accounting, financial management and performance measurement.

He served as a Board member and non-executive Director of Ancoria Bank and Laiki Financial Services. He served for six years in the International Assembly of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants as an elected member representing the Cyprus members.

Odysseas started his career in the accounting profession as an auditor with Coopers & Lybrand and in the banking sector with Lombard Natwest Bank and Cyprus Popular Bank.

 

Andreas Andreou is a Partner and Member of the Executive Committee of Deloitte Ltd.
He joined Deloitte in 1997 and he is in charge of the audit of a large number of public and private companies in various areas of operation with specialization in the insurance and financial services industry.
Andreas Andreou is in charge of the IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) technical team of Deloitte Cyprus and a facilitator in various technical trainings/seminars.

He is a member of the Council of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC) since July 2015, having served as a member of the Accounting Standards Committee of ICPAC for the years 2010-2014 and Vice-chairman of the same committee for the year 2014-2015.
He holds a BA (Hons) in Business Administration (Accounting) from University of Cyprus and he is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW) since 2001.
Andreas is married with 3 children.

Pieris Markou is the CEO of Deloitte in Cyprus and a member of the Deloitte Middle East Executive Board, having previously served as the Tax & Legal Services Leader. He started his career in London in 1986 and was admitted to Partnership at Chrysanthou and Christoforou (Andersen) in 2000. He is a member of the Council of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC) since 2014, and elected President for the period 2021-2023, having previously served as the Vice President during the period 2019-2021. He has for many years participated in the activities of ICPAC having assumed many other professional roles, including that of Chairman of the Tax and VAT Committees. Pieris was an appointed member of the Advisory Council for the establishment of an Independent Authority against Corruption for the period from its establishment until June 2023 and has also been appointed by the President of Cyprus as a member of the Advisory Council for the appointment of the board members of Semi-Government Organisations. Pieris is also a board member of the Nicosia Chamber of Commerce & Industry. He holds a B.A. (Hons) degree in Accounting, is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation.

Demetris S. Vakis is a Board member of KPMG Limited. He holds a BSc Computer Science and Accounting (Joint Honours).



Before joining KPMG, Demetris worked for Touche Ross & Co (London) as a trainee from 1984 until 1987. Then, he joined Metaxas Loizides Syrimis & Co (now KPMG Limited) in 1987 and became a partner in 1991. He is a member of the Executive Committee of KPMG Limited in Cyprus.



Over the years he was responsible for several departments and services such as Advisory services (feasibility studies valuations, flotations, mergers, acquistions, reorganisations, due dilligence projects, etc) Internal Audit Services, Risk Management, Business Performance Improvement (Assessment of business performance systems e.g. ISO 9000, ISO 14000, etc) and Information Technology Services (requirements definition, selection, implemention, process improvement etc).



Today, Demetris is responsible for a major portfolio of Audit and other clients and is heading KPMG’s IT and Markets Departments.

Professional history and experience:

-          He holds over 30 years of experience in advisory services particularly in financial due diligence in connection with acquisitions and fundraising, flotations and public company transactions.  He has led significant projects relating to the banking industry in Cyprus and acts as relationship partner and quality reviewer on complex advisory engagements.

-          He is a mentor and coach supporting individuals from both within and outside Grant Thornton Cyprus to develop and thrive as professionals and in any other area they are passionate about.

His approach to leadership and what he considers to be a core part of the firm’s strategy stems from his personal view that in order to achieve growth in any organization people have to come first.

Maria Pastellopoulou is the Founder and the Managing director at the audit firm Pastellopoulou Karlettides Ltd. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC) since 2012 and a Fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Previously, she has served the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC) from the positions of a member and Chairwoman of the Education Committee. She specializes in Audit Assurance.

Mr Petros Petrakis is Partner and Member of the Board of Directors of PwC, Head of Risk Management and Compliance and he is Ethics & Business Conduct Leader.  He has BA Economics & Accounting, MBA - Master in Business Administration and he is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales.

He has experience of over 30 years in the provision of audit and consulting services to local and international, private and public enterprises and organizations, mainly in the tourism, hotel, real estate and construction sectors.

He also has an active participation in various professional committees in Cyprus and abroad (eg. ICPAC, ICAEW, ECG) dealing with technical matters or policy and regulatory issues related to the accounting and audit profession.  He has been a member of the Board of Directors of a local Chamber of Commerce and Industry for nine years.

Mr. Spyros Spyrou is Financial Services Director at Human Resource Development Authority of Cyprus (HRDA) since June 2002. Previously he held the position of Accountant 1st Grade of the Organisation since August 1996. During the period July 1991 – July 1996, he worked in the company BP Cyprus Ltd as Accounting Officer and Supplies/Aviation/ Finance Controller.

He holds a degree in BA (Hons) Accounting and Management Science (University of Kent) and Master of Business Administration (University of Warwick). He is a Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants of UK (ACCA) since July 1995 and Member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC) since February 1998.

He is a Board Member of the ICPAC since July 2015. He was also Member of the Public Sector Committee of ICPAC for the period September 2012 – September 2014 and Chairman of the Committee during the period October 2014 – July 2015.

Marios Ph. Demetriades

He is an Executive Director and Group Chief Financial Officer at Mitsides Public Company Ltd

He is a Fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a Fellow Chartered Accountant, member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). He is also a member of the Institute of the Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus. He holds a Marketing Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK), of which he is also a member. He holds postgraduate diplomas in Business Management and Strategic Planning, as well as an M.Sc. in Strategic Marketing Management.

He started his career in 1991 at the audit firm Deloitte, Haskins & Sells and later joined Coopers & Lybrand (1993 -1996). During the period 1996 - 1999 he served as Chief Accountant at Model Famagusta Bakeries Ltd (a former member of the Mitsides Group). Since 2000 he holds the position of the Group Chief Financial Officer. He is also a Member and Secretary of the Board of Directors, while he has been appointed Compliance Officer with the Corporate Governance Code, and Shareholders’ Relations Officer. He previously headed the Group's Human Resources department from 2000 until 2021.

He also sits on the Board of Directors of Mitsides Group subsidiary companies.

He is married and has two children.

Constantinos is a Board Member and member of the Executive Committee of KPMG Cyprus.

He joined KPMG in 1998 and he is the partner in charge of the audit of public and private companies with specialization in the financial services sector (banking and insurance companies). He is also the Head of Quality and Risk Management Department of KPMG.

He holds a BSc in Business Finance & Economics from the University of East Anglia and he is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC). He served as a chairman and member of the Financial Services Committee of ICPAC.
