ICAEW Practising Certificate holders in Cyprus

30/8/2011

For the attention of ICAEW members

We refer to the recent ICAEW communication to its practising members in Cyprus that as from 1/1/2012 it will no longer require them to hold and pay for a practising certificate from the ICAEW if they meet certain conditions.

However, we draw your attention to the requirement that practising members in Cyprus who undertake professional business in respect of clients in the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland or Crown Dependencies (Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man, Channel Islands) should continue to hold the ICAEW practising certificate and that if you are carrying out an audit of a UK company you will need to retain your ICAEW practising certificate and have audit registration from ICAEW.

Members can continue to hold their ICAEW practising certificate if they wish, and all ICAEW members are still entitled to all of the support available from the ICAEW, including advice published at icaew.com/practice.
