Purpose:
|
Under new UK legislation, companies can be found liable for failing to prevent their representatives from facilitating tax evasion. This applies to companies and partnerships around the world, from any sector that do business with or have any UK footprint. The offences hold corporations and partnerships criminally liable when they fail to prevent their employees, agents, or others who provide services on their behalf from criminally facilitating tax evasion. This is a significant change from existing law. In addition HMRC has introduced new legislation that requires individuals to make sure their foreign income and assets are in order before a 30 September 2018 deadline.
This seminar will give a complete overview and detail of this significant change in legislation and how it can affect you and your clients.
