ICPAC operates a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme which commenced in April 2007 and is based on ACCA’s CPD programme “ACCA Realise”.
ICPAC’s CPD programme requires all members to undertake relevant CPD throughout their career, to ensure that they maintain and develop the knowledge, skills and expertise needed to succeed in today's dynamic and demanding business environment. The role, responsibilities and professional activities of the members are very wide and complex, hence continuous training and development is not mere fundamental to the professional accountant, but also constitutes the best route to career development and progression.
ICPAC's approach to CPD aims to ensuring that learning and development remains relevant, useful and appropriate to ICPAC members at all stages of their professional career. The principal benefits of ICPAC’s CPD programme are the following:
- it helps the members to identify areas where additional development and training are required, that are relevant and useful to their professional activities and ultimately support their professional career.
- it provided the necessary comfort and assurance to employers and the public of the high standards of professional competence, through a structured ongoing training procedure.

IFAC Compliance
ICPAC’s CPD programme fully complies with the International Education Standard 7 “Continuing Professional Development: A Program of Lifelong Learning and Continuing Development of Professional Competence”, released by the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) of which ICPAC is a member.
All ICPAC members are required to undertake CPD activities to ensure that they maintain and develop the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in today’s dynamic and demanding business environment.
